Office of Teaching & Learning
Overview
The Office of Teaching and Learning supports students and families across the full educational experience in the School District of Springfield Township.
Guided by the district mission and the Profile of a Graduate, the Office of Teaching and Learning works in partnership with educators, school leaders, and families to ensure curriculum, instruction, student supports, and services are aligned, responsive, and centered on student success.
In collaboration with the Offices of Support Services and Student Services, this work includes:
- Designing, reviewing, and supporting curriculum and instructional practices from kindergarten through grade 12
- Coordinating student supports and specialized services to ensure equitable access to learning
- Supporting assessment practices and the use of data to improve student outcomes
- Providing professional learning and instructional coaching for educators
- Managing student enrollment, registration, and student records
- Supporting families navigating educational pathways, including home education
Through collaboration, thoughtful planning, and ongoing reflection, the Office of Teaching and Learning helps create learning environments where students are known, supported, and challenged, and where families experience clear communication and consistent support throughout their time in the district.
