Head Lice
Each year, approximately 6-12 million students between the ages of three to 12 years of age contract head lice, and like many school districts, we have occasional students who are affected each year. Please discuss with your child the importance of not sharing personal items. Additionally, we recommend that you check your child’s head weekly as a part of their regular hygiene routine. Head Lice Protocol
The School District of Springfield Township Head Lice Protocol is based on the most current guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Association of School Nurses.
