Jazz Band Auditions 2025-2026
Audition packets for Jazz Band are linked in PDFs below. Inside the packet, you will find all of the required audition materials. Please read all instructions carefully and prepare all aspects of the audition. You audition videos must be submitted in Schoology before midnight on Friday, October 24, 2025. Jazz Band will be a competitive group for Springfield musicians who can offer 100% commitment to the music and to the ensemble. Jazz Band will rehearse one night a week -- Tuesdays 7:00-9:00pm starting on October 28, 2025.
Jazz Band is an extra-curricular activity and its purpose is to supplement our academic music courses in the STHS music curriculum. Students who are members of Symphonic Band will be considered before students who are not. Seniority is not a factor, and members are selected based solely on their audition. Students who do not perform a satisfactory audition will not be placed in the ensemble.
