Mrs. Ilene Bell

Ilene Bell joined the School Board after being elected in 2023.  She and her husband Mitchell have been Springfield residents since September 1997. Both grew up around the corner from each other in Philadelphia where they graduated from Northeast High School and then on to Temple University. They have three children, two who have graduated from STHS and one currently in STMS.

Ilene is a notary public, and has a BS in Chemistry from Temple University, MS in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs from Temple University, MBA from Northeastern University and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Chestnut Hill College. She has worked for Merck and Co., Inc for over 25 years in various roles of Manufacturing and Quality Operations.

Ilene’s experience as a public school student and parent have helped her shape what an exceptional educational experience should look like. She hopes to contribute to the Springfield Township School District to continue to improve this treasure of our county.
