In terms of education, I am a summa cum laude graduate of Bucknell University, with a bachelors degree in international relations and minors in both the German language and classical civilizations. Following my undergraduate education, I earned my law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Although my original intent was to remain in the legal field, my experiences volunteering as a mentor in the School District of Philadelphia made me realize that my passion and talents are in front of the classroom as opposed to the courtroom. Upon leaving the legal field, I earned my Pennsylvania teaching certification at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown. Although I've previously taught for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Centennial School District in Bucks County, this is my eighth year with the School District of Springfield Township and my seventh year teaching social studies at the middle school.

In 2015, I earned my masters degree in educational leadership at Delaware Valley University. I'm hoping that the skills that I acquired will contribute to making my classroom an innovative learning environment for all of my students.

On a personal note, I've also spent time living in Europe (Vienna, Austria), speak German, and love to travel abroad. I truly hope that the varied life experiences that I've had will accentuate the learning process and provide for interesting discussions in all of my classes.
