David Kestenbaum

David attended Yale University and received his Bachelor of Science in 1991, majoring in Physics. David completed his graduate work and went on to earn his Ph.D from Harvard University in 1996, while studying Physics. David’s interest in writing and thinking about journalism was sparked after earning his Ph.D at Harvard. David had his first freelance experience with the Chicago Reader, a weekly newspaper in Chicago. David continued to freelance, writing for small science trade magazines and for the British magazine New Scientist. A major break came in 1997 when he wrote a freelance piece on particle physics for the New York Times. David became a Science Correspondent and Radio Journalist for National Public Radio. David went on to become the Producer for This American Life on National Public Radio.
