Mr. Andrew Puntel

Mr. Andrew Puntel received a B.A. in Music from Fordham University in 2004. He directed the choral, instrumental, and general music program at Cathedral High School for Girls in Manhattan from 2005-2008. There he had opportunities to direct choirs in St. Patrick's Cathedral and direct the marching band in many annual NYC parades. During that time, he also served as Assistant Director of Choirs at Fordham University. From 2008-2009, Mr. Puntel conducted Fulbright research in Latvia, where he studied choral conducting under Romans Vanags at the National Academy of Music. In 2009, Mr. Puntel moved to Springfield Township with his family, teaching vocal music in the School District of Philadelphia and directing the music program at St. Genevieve Parish in Flourtown. He is honored to work with students, partner with parents, and team up with colleagues and community organizations to build on the rich history and recent successes of the Springfield High School Music Program.
