Mrs. Kristen Sharer

I love being a Spartan! I began my career as a social worker graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s degree in Social Work.  I worked for a number of years in that field before staying at home to raise my two children.  In 2001, I chose to work at Springfield because of its location meeting my needs at the time. I have never left! I began teaching in the School District of Springfield Township in January 2005. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and received certifications in Special Education, English 7-12, ELL and an autism endorsement . I currently teach Academic Seminar, Instructional Support, and co-teach academic biology.
