School Board Member

Carla Greene has enjoyed being a part of the Springfield Township community for more than 25 years.  She and her husband are the proud parents of two Springfield graduates and one current 11th grader. Her background consists of over 35 years of experience in education, culminating with 14 years as an elementary school principal in a neighboring suburban school district.  Carla has a degree in Psychology, Certification in Special Education,  and Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, 

As a former principal of a Response to Intervention and Instruction pilot and training site for visiting schools in various school districts, Carla brings to this position a unique skill in using data to drive instruction, evaluating results, and supporting all students both in academic and social/emotional areas.  Early in her educational career she worked with parent groups to provide inservice, support, and assistance where needed.  It is definitely Carla's passion to actively partner with all stakeholders for the benefit of the students in this community. 

Carla Greene believes in equitable opportunities where students can participate and thrive in academics, the arts, athletics, and school based activities.  She is grateful to have this moment in time to contribute to the community she loves.
