I began teaching at Springfield Middle School in 2003. Previously I taught in the Bristol Borough School District. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from Kutztown University in 1982. Later I attended the NITE program in Boston and earned my Master's Degree in Education from Cambridge College. Since then I have earned Middle Level Certification in Math, Language Arts, & Science. In 2009, I achieved National Board Certification in Mathematics. and recertified NBC in 2018. I am in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Hamburg Area High School where I played field hockey, basketball and softball. I am also in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Kutztown University where I played field hockey, basketball, softball, and was a member of the swim team. I was awarded "Coach of the Year" by the Bicentennial League while coaching varsity field hockey for Bristol High School.
On a more personal level, I grew up in the rural town of Hamburg, PA. I married in 1981 and moved to Bristol Borough where my husband taught special education and was the athletic director. I have five grown children and one grandchild. My daughter, Stephanie is a licensed counselor working for Mainline Rehab. She is married to Kevin Larrisey and they have one daughter, Harper. My oldest son, Gregory, lives and works in Tivoli, New York on the Migliorelli farm that grows many varieties of fruits and vegetables. I have a set of twins; Michael, an assistant athletic director at Delaware County Christian School in Media, is married to Kelsey, and Matthew, lives in Levittown and works in New Jersey as an inside sales representative for Stainless Tubular. My youngest son, Anthony, lives in NE Phila and is working to become a financial advisor and works for American Heritage Credit Union. In my freetime I enjoy most outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding and working in my backyard on gardening and maintaining my continuously growing grass!
While at Springfield, I have taught math in 5th, 6th,7th and 8th grades. This year I will be teaching math in both the 7th and 8th grades. I also coach 7th grade field hockey and 8th grade girls' basketball. I am so proud to be part of the Springfield Community.
