Library Media Center

  • The STMS Library seeks to create a 21st century learning environment that promotes high quality learning for all students through an ever-growing and evolving collection of titles for reading and research, as well as our innovative Makerspace. Through our library program, we seek to provide equitable access to information, foster information literacy skills, and encourage creativity, innovation, curiosity, and lifelong learning. In the Makerspace, students can tinker with materials independently or collaboratively and can create low-tech creations like Lego structures (or use our supersized Legos-- Everblocks-- to build lifesize furniture) or high-tech creations like 3D prints on one of our two Makerbot 3D printers.

Students may visit the library during scheduled class visits, or on their own before class in the morning, during Spartan Block, and after school. The STMS Library and Makerspace is open on Monday-Thursday from 7:35am-3:45pm and on Fridays from 7:35am-2:45pm. Library online resources, including a searchable catalog and information about the Makerspace, can be found on the STMS Library website located on the middle school homepage under the "Our School" heading.
