Student Teaching & Observation

• Submit your request at least two weeks in advance
• Complete the SDST Placement Request Form
• Upload all required documents before submitting

Incomplete applications will be returned.
After review, you will receive an email with an update on your request.
 

• Do not contact principals or teachers directly
• All communication must go through the Assistant Superintendent’s office
• Parents or guardians of current SDST students may not complete placements in the district
• Recent STHS graduates are encouraged to seek placements outside the high school
   

Please have digital copies of the following ready:

• State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprints (Act 114)
• TB test results
• Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24 / PDE Form 6004)
• A letter from your college or university explaining:
  • Required hours
  • Course expectations

All clearances must meet Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements.
