Home Education

Home education students who wish to participate in district programs must complete the district registration process.

Registration includes:

• Student information and proof of age
• Parent or guardian information
• Emergency contact information
• Proof of residency
• Current immunization records
• Required health forms

Families should complete registration through the district’s online registration system and notify the district registrar that they are registering as a home education participant.

Home education students may be eligible for special education and related services as provided under state and federal law.

Families interested in discussing special education services should contact the Office of Student Services to review their child’s individual needs and available supports.

Students may also be eligible for intervention and support services based on district criteria and available programs.

Home education students may participate in district athletic programs if they meet district and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) eligibility requirements.

Student-athletes must:

• Complete district registration requirements
• Meet academic eligibility requirements
• Follow district and PIAA rules
• Complete required physical and participation forms

Families should contact the appropriate athletic director for information about available sports, registration timelines, and eligibility requirements.

Home education students may apply to participate in career and technical education programs through the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology.

Admission is based on:

• Program requirements
• Available space
• Eastern’s admissions process

Students must meet all eligibility requirements established by Eastern.
