Federal Programs

Students are selected for Title I services using multiple sources of information.
These may include:

• Acadience Reading assessments
• Sight word recognition
• Guided reading benchmarks
• Kindergarten letter and sound recognition
• STAR Reading performance
• Teacher recommendations

This process helps ensure students who need support receive it.

The Home-School Compact is an agreement between:

• Teachers
• Students
• Parents or caregivers

It outlines how everyone will work together to support student success. Families receive this compact when their child qualifies for Title I services.

Families are an important part of the Title I program.
The district provides a Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan to build strong partnerships between home and school. This plan is created with input from staff and families and is reviewed each year. To find out how you can be a part of your child's school life, please check out our Family Engagement Resource.

The district will:

• Notify families if their child qualifies for Title I services
• Host an annual Open House about Title I programs
• Offer family meetings and workshops
• Hold parent-teacher conferences to share student progress
• Gather feedback through family surveys
