English Language Development

The ELD Program supports Multilingual Learners (MLs) as they build strong English skills.
Our goal is to help students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills so they can succeed in school and feel confident in their daily lives.

Program Goals

The School District of Springfield Township will:

• Help students develop English skills equal to native speakers
• Provide programs and supports to help students succeed in school and life
• Offer consistent learning opportunities with needed supports and adjustments
• Support student growth toward meeting program goals and exiting the program
• Partner with families and encourage involvement in school activities and events
• Increase student belonging through clubs, activities, and school programs
