The School District of Springfield Township, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO) and Hillendale Associates, has begun distributing WellCard Health Program cards, which enables cardholders to receive discounts on a variety of health services.

While not insurance, cardholders can receive discounts from participating pharmacies and doctors on a variety of medical needs, including office visits and medication. You will be obligated to make payment for services, but you will receive a discount from those providers who have contracted with the WellCard plan. Over 59,000 nationwide pharmacies accept WellCard Health with availability for mail order and specialty pharmacy services.

Anyone is eligible to receive this card, and there is no monthly fee. Even if you have insurance, you are still eligible to receive the discounts offered such as getting cash back for online shopping with hundreds of merchants.

To aid everyone in easily obtaining a WellCard, you may print your own card online or obtain a card from any of the school district offices. Please feel free to stop into your nearest school office and ask for your very own WellCard so you too can begin benefiting from it’s numerous perks.

Everyone, not just those who have children in the district, is welcome to participate so they too can begin benefiting from the various discounts and services offered. One card will automatically cover all family members living at the same address.

The program is free to participate in and only requires a person to sign up, to immediately receive a WellCard and begin receiving discounts.

We want to do anything we can to help the uninsured and under insured in the community.

More information on the program can be found at www.WellCardHealth.com or by calling 1-800-562-9625. Additionally, those interested in the program can visit the district Human Resources website for information on obtaining a WellCard.
