Right to Know & Open Records

The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law gives the public access to certain school district records.

This law, updated in 2009, allows access to many records—both paper and electronic—while protecting certain information such as:

  • Personal and medical records
  • Security and safety information
  • Confidential personnel records
  • Criminal investigation records

How to Submit a Request

Follow these steps to request records:

  1. Complete the Open Records Request Form
  2. Submit the form to the district’s Open Records Officer by:
  • Mail
  • Email
  • Fax

Fees & Payment

  • Copies cost $0.25 per page

You can:

  • Pay in person (cash, check, or money order)
  • Mail a check or money order (includes postage costs)
  • View documents in person at no cost
