Right to Know & Open Records
The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law gives the public access to certain school district records.
This law, updated in 2009, allows access to many records—both paper and electronic—while protecting certain information such as:
- Personal and medical records
- Security and safety information
- Confidential personnel records
- Criminal investigation records
How to Submit a Request
Follow these steps to request records:
- Complete the Open Records Request Form
- Submit the form to the district’s Open Records Officer by:
- Fax
Fees & Payment
- Copies cost $0.25 per page
You can:
- Pay in person (cash, check, or money order)
- Mail a check or money order (includes postage costs)
- View documents in person at no cost
