    Guidance News

    ACT Update

Due to school closures, the April ACT administration was cancelled.  The ACT will be offered on June 13th and July 18th.  To register, click on this ACT registration link.  STHS is not a test center for these test dates.  Through the registration process you will be able to locate test centers for these dates.

    SAT Update

If it is safe from a public health standpoint, the College Board will provide weekend SAT administrations every month through the end of the calendar year, beginning in August. This includes a new administration on September 26th and the previously scheduled tests on August 29th, October 3rd, November 7th, and December 5th.   Students can register for these administrations starting in late May. The College Board will contact students directly during the week of May 26th to provide an exact date. Eligible students can register with a fee waiver.  Please contact your school counselor, well before your chosen test date, to determine your eligibility for a fee waiver.  Also, students can get early access to register for August, September, and October if they are:

    • Already registered for June
    • In the high school Class of 2021 and do not have SAT scores

In the unlikely event that schools do not reopen this fall, the College Board will provide a digital SAT for home use, similar to how they are delivering digital exams to AP students this Spring. As they are doing with at-home Advanced Placement exams, the College Board would ensure that at-home SAT testing is simple, secure and fair, accessible to all, and valid for use in college admissions.
