Science

The emphasis in the Middle School Science program is to build upon those skills acquired in the elementary program. While the fifth grade curriculum integrates activities in physical science, technology and health, sixth and seventh grade science is a blend of life, earth and space and physical science. During the three grades of the Middle School science experience, responsibility for knowledge and skill acquisition begins to shift from the teacher to the learner. During the transition year in terms of academic workload of seventh grade, expectations for students in terms of academic workload will approximate that of the Lower House of Springfield Township High School.
