About FIRST
"FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a multinational non-profit organization, that aspires to transform culture, making science, math, engineering, and technology as cool for kids as sports are today."
Dean Kamen started FIRST in 1989 in New Hampshire. Over the years, the national competition has grown from 28 teams to over 1000. Students from all over the world create a robot to play a game. The game changes every year, but the excitement is the same.
