Student-Run Seminars
In pairs, students in each class will research and present a seminar on improving brain performance. Each student team may select a topic of interest. Pre-approved topics include:
Better Thinking Through Diet
Strategies for Improving Memory
Handle With Care: The Teen Brain
Relieving Stress
Improving Your IQ
Improving Your Emotional IQ
Meet Yourself: Introduction to Intra-Personal Intelligence
Creative Problem-Solving
Enhancing Creativity
Improving Interpersonal Communication
Better Thinking Through Technology
Other topics will be considered upon request.
The workshops should be about 30 minutes in length and must be interactive. I will meet with each team and help you develop ideas to promote interactivity during your seminar. In addition, each seminar should include at least one handout. For example, a handout could be a brochure or your PowerPoint presentation notes. Prior to presenting, each team must submit a Research Pathfinder. The pathfinder should demonstrate your familiarity with the literature on your chosen topic.

Pathfinders are due on Wednesday, March 30.
Presentations will begin Friday, April 1. The order of the presentations will be determined by lottery.
Discussion Board Reviews are due on Friday, April 8.
