The Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers will offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who has overcome physical challenges with the help of home medical equipement, such as wheel chairs, respiratory devices, etc. Deadline is April 11. See your counselor for an application.


Springfield Ambulance Association will award a $300 scholarship to a graduating senior who has been accepted into a 2 or 4 year college and will major in a medical field. Deadline is May 19th. Essay is required. Topic of essay is available in the guidance office.


Delaware Valley Chapter of Hearing Loss Association of America-will award a $500 scholarship to high school seniors with a hearing loss who are planning on attending a college or vocational school. Deadline is May 2. Application is available in the guidance office.


The organization known as Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley is sponsoring the Rainbow scholarship. The scholarship seeks to assist gay and lesbian teens with college expenses. Applicants must write an essay and the deadline is June 1. Applications can be found at www.prideglv.org


The Mervyn Sluizer Scholarship is now accepting applications. Requirements are:

1. must have been an active Boy Scout for at least 5 years and must be currently active at the time of application.
2. must have attained the rank of Eagle
3. have demonstrated responsible leadership as a Scout for at least 1 year

The Hispanic Youth Awards is again sponsoring the Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards. Awards are given in 6 different categories: Business, Education, Engineering and Math, Journalism, Leadership, and Sports. If interested, go to the following web site: www.HispanicHeritage.orgdeadline is March 12th.


The Janice Scott Memorial Scholarship-this scholarship is for seniors who have at least a 2.5 grade point average and who has demonstrated leadership abilities through community service or extra-curricular activities. Applications are available in the Guidance office. Deadline is March 14


The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials-available to graduating seniors who are enrolling in either a 4 year degree program or a 2 year technical program. Several scholarships are available, including 1 for students who plan on going to Drexel, Cheyney, or St. Joe's. For applications, go to their web site www.comtophilagolf.com or see your counselor. Deadline is April 7


The Hellenic Club of Philadelphia announces their scholarships for students of Greek descent or for persons who will be majoring in Greek Studies. See you counselor for details or go to their website: www.hucphila.org Deadline to apply is Monday, April 21


North Montco Chapter of TWIGS- the requirements for this scholarship are: must be an African-American student who resides in Montgomery County, must attend a 4 year college in the fall, must complete scholarship application by March 30. See your Counselor for an application


The Delaware Valley School Business Scholarship- if you are a senior who has an interest in a career in Business, see your counselor for an application. Deadline is April 18th.


The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association (PenSPRA) will
provide educational scholarships for those interested in pursuing a career in
a communications field (English, journalism, public relations, advertising or graphic arts)
Three $500 scholarships will be presented to worthy recipients from the East
Region, Central Region and West Region of the Commonwealth. We invite
all interested candidates to complete and submit the application

The Montgomery-Bucks Family and Consumer Sciences Association is offering a college scholarship award of $500.00 to a high school student who is sincerely interested in a career in Family and Consumer Sciences. Please see your counselor for an application. The deadline is March 25, 2008.


The Montgomery County Medical Society Alliance is offering a Nursing Tuition Grant to qualified students. You must be a resident of Montgomery County and qualify for financial assistance. See your counselor for the application. Deadline is April 15, 2008.


Seniors: The Montgomery County Schol Nurses' Association will asword a $1000 scholarship to a deserving senior who plans on becoming a professional nurse. Applications are due by March 10th. See your counselor for details.


Seniors: a scholarship opportunity is available to you if your parent is a member or the police or sheriff's department or a full-time member of the fire department. See your counselor for an application. Deadline is March 15.


2008 Hispanic Heritage Youth Award-available on-line at www.HispanicHeritage.org by mid-January. Applicants must: graduate from high school in June
attend college in the fall
be of Hispanic/Latino descent
be a US citizen or permanent resident
have a gpa of 3.0, or better


The Ronald McDonald Charties Scholarship-applications are available from your Counselor
Deadline is Feb. 1, 2008


Parents who work for the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers, your son or daughter may be eligible for a scholarship. See your counselor for an application. Deadline is February 8th.


Students who have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the Pennsylvania Masonic Lodge, you may be eligible for a scholarship. See your counselor for details or visit the website www.pagrandlodge.org/pmyf and then click on scholarships. Deadline is March 15th.

The Stewart Family Scholarship at Bucknell University was established by Springfield Township residents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stewart in 1997. Preference for this scholarship will be given to students who have graduated from Springfield Township High School. Eligibility is based on demonstrated financial need, determined by Bucknell Universiey. The Stewart Family Scholarship is estimated to be worth, in excess of, $14,000 per year.


The Platt Caddie Scholarship is for caddie scholars in pursuit of higher education.  Applicants must have caddied for at least one year at a member club of the Golf Assoc. of Philadelphia. Contact Bob Caucci (610) 687-2340 x21 or bcaucci@gapgolf.org for more information.


The Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund offers more than 2,000 scholarships annually to students attending 47 member schools. For more info, visit its website at www.thurgoodmarshallfund.org.

The Montgomery County School Nurses' Association Annual Scholarship is for high school seniors residing in Montgomery County who have been accepted into accredited Nursing Programs. See your guidance counselor for more info.


The Keppra Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program is for students seeking a college degree who are either an epilepsy patient or have a family member who is. 30 one-time scholarships are available. For more information, call 1-888-275-7928, or visit www.Keppra.com, or see your guidance counselor.


The PA New Economy Technology Scholarship Program offers scholarships to students already enrolled in science or technology programs at colleges and universities. For more information, call 1-800-692-7392 or visit www.PHEAA.org

INROADS offers a few paid internships for graduating seniors who are students of color (African American, Latino or Native American). If you would like to apply, go to www.INROADS.org and complete the on-line application. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be attending college in next fall.


Ithaca College offers a scholarship to academically exceptional students from traditionally underrepresented populations.


The University of Maryland, Baltimore County offers a scholarship to seniors with a high GPA interested in science or engineering.


Boston University offers a scholarship to seniors ranked in the top 2% of their class.


Ursinus College offers a scholarship to African-American and Latino students with a high GPA.


The John McKee scholarships are open to fatherless, male seniors.


 

Kutztown University's Carrie Babb Scholarship in Geography offers scholarships to students who will attend Kutztown and major in geography.


The Martin Luther King Scholarship at Ithaca College is for African American, Latino, Asian or Native American students attending Ithaca who have demonstrated strong leadership through service and community involvement. Must have SAT scores of 1200 or higher.
