Virtual High School
We are pleased to be able to extend our curricular choices by offering sophomores, juniors and seniors access to the online courses of the "Virtual High School". This project is a collaborative of high school students from around the country. All course activity occurs on-line, using computer conferencing, bulletin board systems and e-mail interaction. Like face-to-face courses, online courses involve readings, large and small group discussions and seminars, collaboration, and individual and group projects. A STHS faculty member will support net courses.
Courses range from AP and other advanced academic courses, to technical and special-interest courses like Aviation History to Screenwriting Fundamentals.
Only 20 seats are available over the school year. Interested students must have at least a 2.5 Cumulative G.P.A, complete an application, and obtain a recommendation from at least two of their current teachers. The successful student will be a self-directed learner.
A full course catalog is available on-line: http://vhs.concord.org (Click on "Academics").
