This program is administered under the guidelines established in the Pennsylvania Department of Education Standards and Regulations as they apply to the mentally gifted and special needs students and is available to students deemed eligible under guidelines.

Learning Support

Series 100 Course(Grades: 8-12)- .5 credit

These courses are offered to eligible students in the four major subjects-Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics. In these small classes, a student's Individual Educations Plan (IEP) is implemented.

Itinerand Learning Support(Grades: 8-12)- .5 credit
Students with mild learning differences who are motivated to accept the challenge of regualr education can receive assistance through the Itinerand Learning Support Program. In a small group setting, students will learn a variety of strategies to increase productivity, improve organizational, study and time management skills. Students receice direct instruction as needed and review content for test and quizzes.

Senior Theses 100- .5 credit

This class focuses on the skills necessary for independent living. The curriculum includes civic knowledge, identifying community resources, communication skills and the awareness of local goverment issues. Also covered in the course is the preparation of a resume, demonstration of job-hunting and the responsibilities involving personal finance.
