914. INTERACTION WITH INTERMEDIATE UNIT |
1.Purpose |
The Board expects that effective communication will be maintained with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (I.U. #23) in order to ensure maximum effectiveness of cooperative programs. |
2.Authority
SC 901(a) |
The Springfield Township School District shall actively participate in the service programs offered by the Intermediate Unit. |
3.Responsibility |
The President of the Board shall select and recommend for approval a Board member to serve as the Springfield Township School District official representative to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit for the designated term. |

The Board representative shall ensure that the Board receives reports of activities and the necessary information to support sound decisions regarding the various programs offered by the Intermediate Unit. |

Annually, the Superintendent shall present to the Board a review of the programs of the district that involve Intermediate Unit services for applicability and viability. |

Annually, the Board will review the proposed I.U. budget and vote on the budget. |
