904. PUBLIC ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL EVENTS |
1.Purpose |
The Board welcomes public attendance at athletic and other events held by the school district. The Board also acknowledges its responsibility to maintain order and preserve the facilities of the district during such events. |
2.Authority
SC 775 |
The Board has the authority to bar the attendance at any school event of any person whose conduct may constitute a clear and present threat or danger to self or others. The Board also prohibits smoking, alcoholic beverages, gambling, and the use of drugs on school premises. |
3.Guidelines

A schedule of fees for all school events shall be prepared by the Superintendent and adopted by the Board. |

All district buildings and all spaces within them shall be designated as smoke free environments at all times. All school district grounds shall also be designated smoke free environments. Smoking shall be defined as all uses of tobacco and/or any other lighted smoking material. |

In order to encourage increased interest in the schools and greater participation in the activities of the schools by the township's senior citizens, any resident of the township sixty (60) years of age or older may attend or participate, without charge, in school sponsored activities open to the general public. This gratis attendance can be gained through the use of a Golden Guest Pass. This pass will be made available, without charge, to any senior resident of Springfield Township through the office of the Public Relations Coordinator, as described in the Administrative Rule. |
