819.  PRIVACY OF PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION

1.  Authority
42 U.S.C. Section 1320d et seq.

The District shall limit the dissemination of protected health information in accordance with and to the extent required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its accompanying regulations.

2.  Delegation of Responsibility

The Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee shall be responsible for developing procedures to implement this policy in a timely manner including the designation of a HIPPA Compliance Officer.
