703. BUILDING CLEANLINESS
|
1. Purpose |
The Board recognizes that the health and physical
well-being of the students of this district depend in large measure
upon the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the school buildings,
facilities, equipment, and grounds.

2. Authority
SC 701
|
The Board directs that cleanliness standards and
guidelines for all school buildings, facilities, equipment and
grounds be established and maintained and that these standards
meet the requirements set forth by the Pennsylvania Department
of Health, Department of Labor & Industry, and any local government
agency which has jurisdiction.

3.Delegation
of Responsibility
|
The Superintendent or a designee shall assure
that a program for the cleanliness of the school buildings, facilities,
equipment, and grounds is in effect at all times.
The cleanliness of each school building and all school equipment
shall be the responsibility of the building principal and the
Director of Facilities.
The teacher shall be responsible for the reasonable orderliness
of his/her classroom and shall support efforts to have students
maintain high standards of cleanliness on an ongoing basis.
