230. Public Performances by Students
1.Purpose

The Board recognizes the value to students of sharing their talents and skills with the community through student participation and performances in public events.
2.Authority

The Board endorses such performances when they constitute a learning experience which contributes to the educational program, do not interfere with other scheduled school activities, and do not pose a danger to the health, safety or welfare of the students who will be involved.

All requests for public performances by students or student groups require the approval of the school principal or designee, who shall report such requests to the Board.
