228. Student Government
|
| 1.Purpose |
The Board acknowledges the importance of offering students
the opportunity to participate in self-government within the schools.
|
| 2.Authority |
Students shall have the right to organize, conduct meetings,
elect officers and representatives, and present proposals and
recommendations to the Board.
The Board will recognize the Student Council as the official
voice of the student body.

The Board shall appoint a qualified member of the faculty to
serve as advisor to student government activities. The faculty
advisor shall present all student government proposals and recommendations
to the building principal prior to their submission to the Superintendent,
who shall review them prior to the submission of such proposals
to the Board
