220. Student Expression
1.Purpose

Springfield Township School District encourages the exchange of ideas among students and faculty and promotes students' oral and written expression through student government, publications and bulletin boards.
2.Authority

Title 22
Sec. 12.9
SC 511

The Board reserves the right to identify and prohibit student expression which interferes with an orderly school environment, the rights of other students to express their views, or student access to educational programs offered by the school.

A copy of the Board's statement of student expression shall be published at each school in the student handbook.

3.Delegation
of Responsibility

The Superintendent shall develop rules and regulations in conjunction with this policy.
