107. Adoption Courses of Study |

The Board shall provide a comprehensive instructional
program to serve the educational needs of the students of this
district. No course of study shall be taught in the schools of
this district unless it has been adopted by the Board. The Board
reserves the right to determine which units of the instructional
program constitute courses of study and are thereby subject to
the adoption procedures of the Board.

Sec. 5.203 |
For purposes of this policy, a course of study shall be defined as the planned course which consists of at least:
A written statement of outcomes to be achieved by students; content
to be used to reach those outcomes for which credit is awarded;
expected levels of achievement; and procedures for evaluation.

3.Delegation
of Responsibility |
The Superintendent is responsible for the continuous
evaluation of the courses of study and shall recommend to the
Board new courses of study deemed to be in the best interests
of the students of this district. S/He shall invite the participation
of administrative and professional staff members at every level
in the district in the formulation of his/her recommendations.
The Superintendent shall maintain a current list of all courses
of study offered by this district and shall furnish each member
of the Board with a copy upon revision, or periodically as circumstances
make this appropriate.
