Comprehensive Plan Summary

September 27, 2011:  Over 80 members of the district community attended the kick-off meeting.  Dr. Royer presented an overview of the Comprehensive Strategic Plan process.  The district also introduced the six Core Foundations of the plan:  Technology, Community Outreach, Special Education, Professional Development, Safe and Supportive Schools, and Mission, Vision, and Values. 

 January 19, 2012:  Committees from the SDST Strategic Planning team met in the STMS Audion at 7pm.  Following a brief introduction and review of work conducted by the Mission Committee, the team separated into committee groups to begin their work.

March 1, 2012:  Following a presentation of the new Mission Statement, committees met  to review information collected by individual members to determine the top 3 priorities/goals for each Core Foundation.  

April 12, 2012:  Members of the community are invited to attend to select the top 3-5 goals/priorities to lead our district work for the next three years. 

The 2012-2015 Strategic Plan Kickoff Was a Success
On September 27, 2012, over 80 teachers, parents, community members and district administrators met to kick off the 2012-2016 strategic planning process. Many good ideas were shared. Check back here for a complete list in the near future.
The strategic planning process has been redesigned by the state. Now plans will be 3 years instead of 6. For a complete overview, click HERE.
