Her 42 years of experience bridges all disabilitiies groups with a concentration on the emotional disturbed, learning disabled, mentally challenged, and autistic child. Currently, the expansion of transition services through the age of 21 is a major initiative and the development of a continuum of services for students on the spectrum. Integrating mental health services into the school is viewed as a rising need that will be addressed. |





Sylvia Sanfilippo-Cohn is a graduate of the Catholic University of America, earning a B.A in Psychology and a M.A. in Education. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Her certifications include: an Instruction II in Mental Retardation, a Supervisory II in Special Education, an Administrative II for Elementary Principal, and Letter of Eligibility for the Superintency.
