Substitute Social Worker

Effective mid-November through June 30, 2010, a three days per week social worker is needed. Person must hold a current Home and School Visitor certificate. A Masters of Social Worker with a clinical license is preferred.

Duties include: Knowledge of the ACCESS enrollment and billing process, familiarity with local mental health providers and benefits, clinical skills to support special needs students and their families. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and flexibility are required.

As per new regulations from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, ALL applicants to school districts must submit a copy of their Federal Criminal History Record in addition to the Child Abuse Clearance and Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check. All records can not be more than one year old. PDE is currently updating the procedure for prospective employees to obtain their Federal Criminal History Record and will move to electronic submission of fingerprints to the FBI.
